JOLIET – Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry is pleased to announce a complete redesign of her office website that will provide citizens with easy, instant access to all the Will County Clerk’s information and services.

Browsers who visit starting on Thursday, Sept. 10 will be greeted with a fresh, bright, and modern design. The new website will be easy to navigate, taking both first-time and familiar users quickly to the content they seek. In addition, it will feature access to Google Translate which will allow browsers to read content in more than 100 languages.

The website was redesigned in conjunction with Scytl, the digital elections services company that provides web-based Election Night Reporting for the Will County Clerk’s Office.

The popular Election Night Reporting feature that has become so familiar to the public over the years will remain the same. Election Night Reporting will remain a prominent, easily accessible feature of the newly designed website.

In addition, the website will provide speedy access to information about registering to vote, applying for Vote By Mail Ballots, and finding Early Voting locations or Election Day Polling Places. It will also direct candidates quickly to the services and forms they need to place their names on the ballot.

Citizens who wish to obtain birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, or marriage licenses will find the information they need by clicking on the Vital Records button. And property owners seeking information on paying late property taxes will be able to quickly navigate to important sections that outline requirements and procedures, including a link to check their sold taxes.

The website also contains detailed information about past elections, contact information for elected officials in every local jurisdiction, and a host of Will County maps and reports.

“My goal is to modernize every facet of the Will County Clerk’s Office. Improving the functionality, design, and look of our website is an important step in that plan,” Clerk Staley Ferry said. “I am certain our users will appreciate finding anything they need to know about this office with a simple click.”

The County Clerk also thanked Rebecca Leder, one of several Election Analysts with the Will County Clerk’s Office, for shepherding the website redesign through the process.
